The puppy dog we wanted to adopt was scooped up by the people who saw it right before us. My wife really wanted that dog, and I’ll admit, I did too. In addition, I found a car that I withdrew cash for the second I saw it, but they sold it three days ago.
There will be other doggies, there will be other cars. But we’re really looking for a little luck to break our way. 2016 has already been a bit rough, and these little things I’m speaking of now are just the umbrella turning inside out during this terrestrial downpour. There is lots to be positive about, and thankful for, but a small victory here and there really helps out during major battles.
I think I’ve used this gif a dozen times, but it really is perfect for everything.

Aw, Man, I’m really sorry. I don’t know all that’s going on, but I think I know how you feel. Hang in there.
I did once lose a puppy I really wanted. By the time I got my parents to say yes and we went back, someone else took him. I picked another, and she turned out to be the best dog ever. I hope you find the same.
